We place around 60 volunteers a year — Nepali and international, in the field and remotely.

Where we need hands right now

Health camp volunteer

Humla & Jumla 2–4 weeks

Physicians, nurses, pharmacists and lab technicians for the monthly camp rotation.

Teaching support

Sindhupalchowk 1 term

Maths, science and English support in partner secondary schools.

Translation & documentation

Remote or Lalitpur Flexible

Nepali–English translation of reports, case studies and training material.

Design & communications

Remote Flexible

Report layout, photography, social media and short field video.

WASH technical volunteer

Dolakha 4–8 weeks

Civil engineers and overseers for scheme survey, design review and supervision.

Finance & audit support

Lalitpur 2–6 weeks

Bookkeeping support and pre-audit preparation for our finance unit.

Before you apply

A few honest notes

  • Field placements are in hill and mountain wards — expect walking, cold, and no reliable network.
  • We do not charge volunteer fees, and we do not arrange tourist itineraries.
  • Accommodation and local transport are covered; international travel is not.
  • Every volunteer signs our Child Protection Policy and a confidentiality undertaking.
  • Placements under two weeks are generally not useful to the community, so we rarely accept them.
